I love image. Not that there aren't other important factors but lets face it, don't the prettier things catch your eye?I've probably done every look in the goth handbook, 1700s, distinguished gent, cowboy, Deathrock, glam, rivet head, fetish, millitary. I guesse Im going for a more wearable propaganda chic/glam goth/fetish look these days. So what freak chic do you seek?

Re: Whats your look inspired by?
Mon, February 9, 2004 - 4:23 PM"Ragamuffin Prince" is what my psychiatrist called it back in the eighties... oh, them were fun times.
I wear women's clothes but not in a 'tranny' way - i have philosophical problems with most clothing. I think I tend to look like what a caveman would look like if you turned one loose in a thrift store - "oo - dot looks wohrm. ung. me wear hat."
I never shop; clothes just appear in my closet. A friend and I discussed this one day; it's pretty strange: out of everything in my wardrobe, I could only determine the origin of a shirt and a jacket - the rest is all 'ghost clothing'.
So there you have it: arty caveman / innocent barbarian drag.

Re: Whats your look inspired by?
Wed, May 26, 2004 - 1:27 PMBefore my look leaned more towards romanti-goth, i.e. lace and velvet, rich details and high camp level, lately it transformed into a apocolyptic skids ville glam rock type look, if that makes any sense.

Re: Whats your look inspired by?
Wed, April 25, 2007 - 9:30 AMIn my early youth I went through a period of mixing Punk Rock, Mod and Antperson elements assembled from thrift store and surplus pieces. I then went on to a sort of tattered Victorian dandy theme. In time I gave up the tatters and went for full-on aristocrat. In the world outside of clubs and parties, I go for a sort of tasteful, minimalistic, Peter Murphy/David J. theme.
I defiantly wore a beard throughout the 80s because it simply wasn't done. -

Re: Whats your look inspired by?
Wed, April 25, 2007 - 9:56 AMFor me it was definitely the Old West Bartender look (anyone else remember CowPunk?), with the same Mod, Two Tone, McLarenBowWowAntRamaBoy3 indfluences as Rydell...
Black Tuxedo Shirts, Vests, Pegged pants, Creepers or Monkey Boots, the obligatory White Socks showing, a Bolero, and the homemade Ankh Bolo tie, wearing about 14 feet of bead chains and bracelets, and the blue Eisenhower coat. -

Re: Whats your look inspired by?
Wed, April 25, 2007 - 10:30 AMWristfuls of cheap silver bangles, a neck full of chains and rosaries, ears full of piercings, Thick-ass eyeliner and a variety of jingly-jangly belts. I practically had to undress to get through a metal detector.
Once I started seeing cheerleaders with multiple piercings, I took all mine out except one.

Re: Whats your look inspired by?
Wed, April 25, 2007 - 12:40 PMmy look is inspired by growing up in the Seattle in the late 80s to early 90s and then being a gutter goth in San Francisco in the early 90s.
I've never been a "high maintenance" type of girl. I rarely wear make up except when clubbing. I rarely comb my hair or use any sort of products. my clothes are never ironed. I usually wear cotton type of fabrics.
right now black sketcher Derby's (aka 3 hole "docs"), black jeans, black turtle neck with a black Siouxise 7 year itch tour shirt over it.
